I know: nothing original here at all. This is however a GLSL translation of the original HLSL/Cg vBomb.fx shader from the NVIDIA Shader Library, so there was quite a lot of tinkering to get it to work in QC. This 2D-noise version runs at a reasonable framerate, but has no normals for lighting. I added normal calculation, and framerates dropped drastically, and QC crashed after a few seconds of rendering, so I shall have to have another look at the code and see if I can get it to work more reliably, and faster.
I think I prefer the 2D vertex-noise to the 3D version. I like the symmetry of it.
